At the age of ten, I held a pair of drumsticks in my hand for the first time. It was one of the first days of fifth grade, and I remember the excitement of renting my school's concert snare drum and lugging it home on my back. In the years that followed, I found myself truly comfortable for the first time in my life, as if I had finally found my place in the world. Music and rhythm came naturally to me. As I got older, I continued in the concert band, competing in percussion ensembles, and playing locally in rock bands. Throughout high school, I became immersed in blues music: the artists, the guitar, and of course, the sound. As a result, after a few years of begging my parents, I finally got my first guitar, which I think my parents thought would be a flash in the pan. However, after nearly two decades of playing, I think it’s safe to say that the guitar offered a form of melodic expression and exploration that complemented my studies in drums & percussion. Today, I continue to explore a variety of instruments and genres, including ambient synth and others.

Below, you’ll find tracks from my acoustic EP from years back. Influenced by my blues, folk, and slack key heroes of the guitar, this short album of all original instrumentals is something I’m still proud of today. You can also find my former band’s album - Crystal Lotus, “Mellowtonin’ below as well.

Words

Whether lyrics, poems, essays, or others, the medium of writing has been and will always be a part of my life…

In 2015, I published my first collection of poetry entitled “Consolation & Clairvoyance Brought To You By Your Local Microcosm”. This collection is available below. Please contact me directly if you are interested in a hard copy or click the link below! After publishing my first collection, I decided to go back to school to finish my B.A. In 2020, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Communication Studies where I studied film and double minored in Creative Writing & Music.
